I just got my new system and an optima yellow battery. Here is what I'm running... alpine MRV-1507 pushing 4 Alpine Type R 12s and an alpine MRV-F407 pushing eclipse separates and pointsource full range.

has anyone here put in a high output alternator in their car? i have the optima yellow, but i'm still concerned about the battery and want to get a high output alternator....any suggestions?

did you consider a big cap..like the CAP 5 or the powercore 15 farad

I agree with Timeport. I doubt you really need a higher output alternator. If you're not using a cap on a system like then then you're wasting your time.

I have a cap...i believe it is a 1 Farad Rockford cap...i can't see it because it is under the sub floor

it's really sweet with an alpine logo in raised letters under the carpet.

where would i get a huge cap like the ones you mentioned?
