I know that '02 GtS has a lower fuel cut-off which is why it tends to be slower than the 00 models. But how about '01 and '00 is there any difference betw these two? Performance wise or anything other than that.
At Edmunds.com they rate the torque for the '00, 133hp@6800 and '01, 130hp@6800. Im wondering if these is at all true or not or if it's just a typo, thanx.

from what i remember, the difference between the 00' and the 01' is the action package was added for the 01', i believe the shift gates were changed (wider). thats bout it...
as far as the torque? hmm that news to me. but i have a 00' so if thats true oh well eheheh. im sure it isnt tho...

never knew the shift gates were wider in a '01. Thanks, that helped. so i suppose that's the only different betw our cars aand the 2001 model?
for the torque i also went on cars.com and it came up with the same #'s 133 tq for '00 and 130tq. As for it being true.. I dunno..

it actually depends on production dates more than on what year it is... some late model 00 are like the o1s and some 01s are like the 02s... i had one of the first bitches out on the market so i got the problem (or not so problem) child.

I have one of the first 01's bought it in Oct 2000 No major difference except for the changes from the early 00 models. It just looks like an 02 now with the stock grill on it though.
