Always try to get the code checked. Autozone will do it for free and give you a description of whats wrong.

I forgot what fuse it was but I remember Blue Bomber saying you can take out a fuse and plug it back in and it'll give you the same results except it won't reset your clock and stereo. Forgot which fuse it was though sorry.

Pulling the EFI fuses will do the job. Check under the fusebox cover to find them.
