i think blue bomber hates us now Nah, it's just that I'm out of school right now, so I'm stuck with my crappy PII 266 which is painfully slow compared to the school's PIII 850 with 4x as much RAM. Don't worry, I'm planning on getting another computer (P4 2.0a, 512MB RDRAM, etc.) in the next week ot two, so I'll be able to do chops even faster than before. Until I actually get a job, that is. :)

Nope, sorry. I'm either gonna buy a Gateway or a custom built computer from RC Kid (leaning towards custom).

What's the difference between their CPU's and anyone else's? I'm getting a P4 2.0a.

They assemble them bad and use no-name parts. Intel is only the chip they use terrible motherboards.

go custom
Gateways are proprietary, meaning only they can make replacement parts if something goes wrong, meaning you pay $50+ for a part you could pick up with pocket change from radioshack

build one yourself... or go to a local computer shop and have them custom build you one.
