View Full Version : front end...?

so I was driving N on Rt. 75 last night at approximately 8PM, and apparently, every piece of debris in the road had to be in the lane I was in. So first, I hit a piece of a tree at 85mph. That got me a little ticked off. Less than 10 miles later, I hit a piece of tire tread. Now I'm really pissed. Thinking about it, I knew I had to have done some damage, cause there is no way I was going to get away w/ hitting all this stuff. So when I got home, I surveyed the damage...and ALL that happened was the drivers side of the front end got cracked. This is actually going to cost me $600 cause I need to replace the front end, but w/ my luck I figured the gas tank would be falling out or something more major. You actually cant even see the damage unless youre looking for it.

So my question is, I have the "action package" front end. But I'm not too crazy about that front plate bracket. Since I have to spend the money either way, does anyone know of a good place to buy a front end, that maybe isnt stock or the action pkg? I figure if im going to spend the money, i should look around a bit. Also, do they come painted? the car is carbon blue, so the paint is already not going to match; but if the piece comes painted, i may not have to go to a body shop to have the work done. Oh, and if anyone in FL feels like helping me w/ my project, feel free. youll at least get a good laugh watching me try to swap the pieces...

There are a ton of front ends for you to get look up krazycustomz a little down this page. I'd suggest swapping the whole kit out for a WW or kam kit.

i pulled the overlapped piece out; and the plastic lines up (at this time). is there anything i can use to glue it back together with (on the underside)? I have touch up paint to put over the crack...will driving at 90 just break it again? or cause the whole thing to give... just trying to not have to buy a new front end until I hit something worth while...

for the WW he would need a non-action package bumper, I say go with the Kam.

I know but it looks better and isn't as popular.

WW Not as popular? I would say it's just as popular as the Kam kit, IMO.

what is WW or kam kit? i only got the action pkg. cause it came w/ the car and im not too good at the conversion stuff. i didnt know the kits were so cheap though. ive never priced it. i went to that krazycustomz website; the most expensive front end is only $239...(of course thats the one i like). the whole kit is <$700. Do the kits come painted though? Do i have to go to the dealer to have it painted? itll cost more to do that than buy the kit.

bought some plastic-plastic epoxy. hopefully it works. if i can get it to line up properly, i shouldnt have to put paint on it (make the crack more obvious). going on vacation next week; hope i dont glue my fingers together...or to the car...:ugh:

I personally would get the 03-04 front and find the lip piece for it, it looks sick.

:ugh: The 03-04 action package looks nice but the stock front bumper is very fish like.
