I am looking at buying a set of 17x8 wheels with 225x45 tires. And was woundering it would fit with out rubbing. I have the TRD sportivo suspension kit. What offset do I need?

Thanks

I wouldn't go higher than stock (39mm). At 39, you're already 3/4" closer to rubbing on the inside, courtesy of the the wider wheel.

You know that that tire is going to give you a bigger rolling circumference than stock, right?

i think that the offset is 35mm

yes the overall dia will increase form 24.0" to 24.9"

thanks for the input

Do you need to calibrate your speedo if change to different circumference??? if you do need... how to do it??

I don't know of a way to recalibrate.

If you have changed circumference enough to make a diff of more than a couple %, then I'd say you picked a bad wheel/tire combo.

If you go slightly bigger, you'll probably increase the accuracy of your speedo...most read a little high already...see current Car & Driver.

If you go smaller and believe in your speedo, it will help you get fewer tickets.

i think you'd have to replace the mechanical component since the pin itself is run off a motor right? and all the rest of it is electronic off the ECU till you get to the dash.. so you'd have to do something at the dash.. and you cant just "put the needle" in the right place cause thats gonna calibrate only 1 area of your speedo range and will mess up the rest even more.
