Updated Picture... What we will do is extend the back of the pod so you wont need a loom.. we didnt think about this until after my gauge pod was done

ok i found out that the speed sensor wire is a white wire with a red stripe behind the cluster. so do i have to take apart the guage cluster? does the wire run behind the ac controls and cd player. can someone help.

It is very nice. I would like to know how much shipped to U.S. (I assume he is in Germany).
soceur

yea but shipping from a soldier is like shipping from NY, so the price will really matter on the size of the box.

I doubt that Brice will sell the pods. Actually I would buy one, but you've to make this all by hand and to grind and sand stuff like this is a lot of work. Then it has to get painted and stuff...
I guess we've to do something like this on our own. ;)

how much are you guys willing to pay for the gauge pod? Richard it will still work with your indash screen. Thats why i came up with this idea, because im going to be installing a 7inch screen in my car. like soceur said shipping is the same as the states.

I didnt tap into the speed sensor wire. But i tapped into the rmp wire, which still allows the auto function on the greddy turbo timer to work because it also reads rmp's. i will try to post up pictures tonight to help with the turbo timer install.

@exotic: Just post your price (expenses and what you want to earn with it) and I will get one if they're not to expensive.

he never said he made them, he will have them made. The one he did is where the auto timer is.

Since there is a prototype he can have mold made and just mass produce them. No more need to make them by hand, so the cost to this would be alot cheaper.

quick question on the pods, where did you run the wires and what size gauges are in there. I'm a noob.
exotic performance
07-02-2004, 10:24 PM
cool2miketlu is right.. we already have a mold so it wont take long to make them at all. how does $125-140 shipped and painted sound.

I'll take one if it is painted and shipped :)
I would like to have oil temp and water temp or maybe wideband O2 with round gauge display...
twistedGTS
07-03-2004, 04:08 PM
that looks really good! but yeah how is the wiring done? do you have to drill thru your dashboard?
exotic performance
07-03-2004, 09:42 PM
what i did was run the wires with a loom.. i will post a picture of how it looks. you could drill a hole in your dash but the loom doesnt look bad at all. If i can get atleast five people we can start making them.

Great, Brice! I'm definetely down for one in black (GT Black).
If you want me to, I can sell some more on our german community. I think it'll be easy to get 5 more sold. Maybe more.
soceur
07-04-2004, 10:46 AM
do u think he could make a single one?

07-04-2004, 10:53 AM
Get a gauge more. ;) I will get OilPress and WaterTemp, too.
The stock WaterTemp display is crap...didn't even move before my engine was blown up...
I have two gauges in the apillar then and the rest in an exotic_performance special gauge pod. ;)

i dont need a guage more! the only one i have is a boost gauge the rest of my readings are via sensors to a my Defi display, i was going to put the guage in my right air duct but if i can get this then better!
exotic performance
07-04-2004, 09:58 PM
Yeah thomas if you could please check over at the celica community and see if they would like one. soceur ill ask him today and see if we could just make one. i dont see why we wouldnt be able to.

i cant really tell from the pictures, but do the gauges face straight out, or are they angled towards the driver side?
exotic performance
07-05-2004, 12:52 AM
the left one is angled right at the driver but the one on the left needs to be turned just a tad. So when he makes the new ones he will angle it more towards the driver.

@soceur: Ah I forgot you have the defi display unit.
@exotic_performance: There're some interests and some questions. How's it mounted on the dash? And will it be painted in the owners car color?
exotic performance
07-05-2004, 03:57 AM
you can either use vel crow <~~ not sure if i spelled it right, double sided tape or do as i did and use hot glue.. the hot glue holds well and it peels off the dash easy if you ever have to remove it. but the guage pod pretty much stays on its own, because we took the mold from the dash. yes it will be painted in the owners car color. i will need the paint code though. we will send them to a shop here to have them painted. we get a good price on getting them painted because i send a lot of people to this guy.

I might want one (a pair) - can you match the stock interior color?
exotic performance
07-05-2004, 12:09 PM
we will start making a mold of my guage pod tomorrow. i will talk to the body shop this week and see if he can match the interior. we should have the final mold done this week. there will be a few changes to the ones we will make for sell.

I hope it's only improvements. ;)
Brice, do you have MSN or ICQ?
exotic performance
07-05-2004, 01:08 PM
no i dont have msn because i dont have internet at my house anymore.. the only changes will be the wires and the angle of the right guage..
