View Full Version : Will Strut Bar fix this?

The GT-S started to squeak a bit at the driver's side window--I was wondering if this could be fixed with a strut bar. The reason I ask is because the squeak came after a year of city driving (we live on a very rural island) and it seems the chassis has a bit more flex in it. I am thinking (more like dreaming) that a strut bar will help this flex and in turn help the squeak. Any ideas?

Think "cause and effect". A strut bar stiffens your chasis, but it is unlikely that your chasis suddenly became weaker and thus started to squeak - so probably no help there. It is more common for the sunroof to sqeak, because you collect dirt on the seal and the rubber dries up over time. If you are certain it is the window, try putting some "white grease" on the door seal.

It is the window...good point about the grease. I will try that.
