This might be a more appropriate forum to put this in:
painting rims?
who's done it? i was gonna use that wheel paint by duplicolor.. but i couldn't find a gloss black.. has anyone tried the duplicolor high temp paint? i figure that'll hold up since many people use em on calipers.
can anyone thats done it give me tips?

i painted my gts rims flat black. i cant recall who made the paint but at autozone they had spray paint cans specifically made for painting rims. i think they look pretty decent for 10 bucks a can.

i have painted my gts wheels 3 colors now.
first was black then gunmetal then bronze is where theyre at now.
that duplicolor paint holds up VERY well to the elements.
car washes are no problem too.

hey there..i've painted all my rims that i've had since i had my car :gap: my 17's went from silver to flat black, gts rims from gunmetal, flat black, gloss black, to bronze. to prep them, all u need to do is wet sand them. no primer needed unless u want too. i didnt. ill post some pics up in a lil of before and after pics of my rims. the duplicolor paint for rims holds up pretty well, but mine are starting to chip very little.

thanks for the help guys. i was gonna get my wheels powdercoated.. but i figure if im paying 200 dollars i might as well sell my rims and get new rims. if painting costs like less than 20 bux i can afford to buy another can to touch up paint chips. because i've seen a lot of powdercoated wheels.. and powdercoat will chip as well.
