I have a 2001 celica gt and want to get some rims for it. I know i have to drop it first to make it look tight. I wont be using my car for racing, just normal city, highway driving. My question is should I go all out and get a Tein SS coilover kit or just like some drop springs? Also, if i do alter my suspension, will that void my manufacturer's warranty?

Springs down to 1.5" should be sufficient, and about 1/6 the price of your average coilover. If you get any brand besides TRD, the warranty on your struts will be void, but that's about it (the only thing lowering springs affect). The TRD springs will also need to be installed by a Toyota dealer to maintain the struts' warranty.
