Hey Zooq, do you have the torque converter?
If you do, then how good is it. I have a auto GTS and have heard a lot about it. Does it give you a good push in the beginning only or does it keep helping out through the rest of the gears.
Where do your gears land:
usally for a stock it is:
1st starts at 0 to 45 mph and vvtli kicks at 32-45mph
2nd starts at about 45 mph and goes to 80 mph and vvtli kicks at about 60 mph to 80 mph.
3rd starts at 80 and goes till 125mph and vvtli kicks at 100mph to 125mph.
Are you still landing in the same gears or because of the torque converter the vvtli is responding at different speeds or are you even landing higher in your shifts.
I only ask because someone in a Post has pointed out that you have one and everyone is kind of clueless as to the performance of the torque converter.
If you have it please respond and if not please ignore this post.
Sorry guys about the long post.
Happy thanksgiving.
Thanks in advance zooq:D
the TC realy helps the launchs and the car lands at about 5100 RPM after first.
i have a 3100 stall. now i can smoke the tires when i'm launching.
the only bad part is that when the car is in R you have to give it some gas to go back.it does it slowly if you didn't step on the pedal.
it made a big difference.for example: in normal street driving when i press on the gas lightly the rpms jump to 2200 which is the stock stall.
one more bad thing if you like to slow down using the manual mode (down shifting) it is not realy not effective in first untill you get down to 25 mph. but it works great in 2nd.
i'd also recomend a trany cooler.
