Before the PFC I have this CEL caused by my AEM CAI reading too lean. Now that i have my PFC it's gone. Is it because:
1. The PFC corrected the A/F ratio, hence no CEL or,
2. SInce it's a different ECU, it can't read the CEL,but it's still too lean.
3. And what about the other CEL codes? would the CEL come out if there's a problem with our engine because we have the PFC?

Thanks Guys.

The PFC dosent cause CEL's the only thing the PFC does is flash your CEL for warnings...quick flashes is detonation and slow flashes is injectors are maxed..

OK, but what about other CEL codes. My point is, can the PFC flash CEL codes just like the stock ECU does if we have problems with our car? Coz I also read in one of the forums that you can't use the OBD II scanner on a PFC to read codes.

From what I understand you cant use the OBD scan port at all with the PFC, you will just get an error. The CEL with the PFC is used just as a warning light if you are knock ing or maxing out your injector duty.

So the PFC can not read CEL codes then.

A CEL code comes from the OBD 2 system (On Board Diagnostic). When you put in the PFC it eliminates the OBD, thus no CEL codes.

the cel goes away but your intake maf is still not positioned right so it will read different airflow values on the pfc, you will need to get it retuned for that intake and maf placement for maximum benefit. the cel will always come back on the stock ecu if its the maf positioning on the intake you have
