Well, i jsut put my 18's on my car, but the rear tires are lying on the sides. Yes i did lower my car, for only 1.75 inch. I did the alingment(spelling wrong) but nothing help. So did i need a Camper kit? Or what else can i do?

The rear camber is adjustable w/o any special kits or aftermarket parts. Just get an alignment done and it should be no problem.

I just get an Alignment done yesterday, but it still the same.
And the guy said he can't turn it. I need a Camper Kit.
So what should i told him?
It is adjustable? So he should fix it without any aftermarket part.

sorry i jus had to laugh about the camper kit...you goin huntin?

seriously tho, i was under the impression you have more play with adjustment by pickin up some crash bolts. theyre cheap, give those a shot.

Cam B er, Cam B er, CamBer, lets say it together "Camber" with a B.

Now that that is off my shoulders, if the shop knows what they are doing, then you do need something like the Hotchkis camber links. Any half-assed shop will give you a print out of the alignment settings, what does the print out say for rear camber?

If they didn't give you a print out, go back and get one. If they still can't do it, then you need a better alignment shop.

Mine saves my info in the computer, and when I go back, I get a printout with todays settings (before and after) and the previous settings.

I did my alignment last week, my friend can be able to adjust the rear camber from -2.5 to -1.5 without the hochkis rear camber link.

Assuming that those are negative numbers (the wheels look like this /----\ right?) that's within the factory specs. It would be better if both sides were set exactly the same, but the way it is should be ok. A little negative camber will improve grip and stability. Maybe the 18"s magnify the look, but you should be ok for normal driving.

How much do you trust the alignment shop? Bad alignments seem to frequently be the result of lazy mechanics.

Well the alignment shop is a tire warehouse. And i trust them pretty much, but maybe it's only the lazy mechanics don't want to waste his time to fix it.
I know it should be fine to drive but my inside of my tires therad will more less than outside right?
That's excatly how it looks like. Cos if my tires are lying to one side, than it will waste the tires thread. Cos my old rear tires thread are way less where the tires are lying. And the other side still got a lot of it.

So what should i tell them to fix it? I'm going to the alignment shop tomorrow and tell them to fix it. I don't want to waste my expensive tires again. LOL

Anyway Erok thank you very much for explain this to me. But i hope you will c this post and tell me what should i do b4 i went to the shop tomorrow.

Thankx
David

I think factory spec is between -0.5

Yup, 0.9 and 1.1 degrees are within factory specs (and within error of each other). Think of it as -1 deg plus or -0.1 degree. Fill the gas tank up, sit in the car, etc, it will change 0.1 degree.

I would say the shop did it's job, and anything else you ask them to do will cost extra.

I run -1.3 or -1.4 degrees in the rear, by choice.
