Hi, I am thinking about buying a turbo kit, however I would like to rebuild my stock GT-S engine cause it's 71000 miles on it. What do you guys think? Do you think its necessary to rebuild, if yes how much it will be. thanks

If you were going to keep it N/A then I wouldn't recommend doing a rebuild, but since you're wanting to boost your 2ZZ I recommend doing some internals to allow you to boost higher and safer.

It's not neccessary. Do a compression check first. If you can afford it, then get some internal upgrades for reliability.

Agreed. But if your compression is good and your car has been reasonably well maintained then theers no need to rebuild if you will be using someone's base turbo kit.
