Look down at the lower right side of the engine bay for the transmission. It's easy to see with a CAI, otherwise you'll need to remove your intake. On the front, you'll see a square accordian boot. If you can't see it, have someone sit in the car and keep pushing on the clutch. The boot will be on the right side of the moving linkage. Pop that boot off and spray the hell out of the inside with white lithium grease spray.

Just spray all around inside the hole the boot was covering. It's not the lever that squeaks, just what's inside the tranny. You can't mess anything up by spraying too much, so don't worry. ;)

Yeah, get one of those thin straws that come with WD40 and use it to spray all over the inside of the tranny. I'm not sure exactly what squeaks, so I don't know the exact position in the tranny. It might also be better to do it right after you drive the car. The spray will melt and run over everything. You'll see some steam coming out of the tranny, but that's OK.

Dude Ryan it is your Throwout bearing. Spray more lithium grease or just get your racing clutch and hvae them replace the throwout bearing.

Is this lithium grease safe for the rubber boot? I just noticed my clutch squeeks also. I thought it was the car in front of me at the drive-thru.

Marc If the throwout bearing was bad, it would continue to squeal all the time, unlike his problem that happens only when he presses the clutch.Originally posted by TaeMachine
Is this lithium grease safe for the rubber boot? Yup, much safer than using WD-40 or any other silicone based lubricant.

So Blue Bomber, my shifter squeaks when I shift. I can eliminate this problem by doing the same exact thing as listed above?
