its a 96 m edition (leather speakers in the seats, torsen LSD)..starlight blue mica... 5 speed of course.. all for under 6k. bone stock, cept for a little ding on the passenger side that i'll get to when i have money again :(

the celica stays in the family; my mom and sister need cars :)

thoughts of miata: 5 speed is nice, firm and short, ur not like rowing the gears, but like pushing it. (if u dont know what i mean by rowing, check out the x/a/b scions 10 foot shifters) and you cant beat the flip up headlights :)

its a little body-rolly compared to the celica which has hotchkis and kybs... my first mod will probalby be koni's and a roll bar, then a helmet :D

the convertible is great- if u've never gone fast with the top down ur missing out :) its like skateboarding.....but a lot faster

anyone wanting to get one should head over to miata.net :D they are nice , cheap and are rated the best handling car in britain :)

Yes, congratulations. My first car was a Miata, and I loved the handling. Enjoy!

Um just out of curiosity, "why did you move from a Celica to a Miata?" Oh and with the Miata, be very careful around 18wheelers, SUV's, and most pick-ups. Just a heads up. Be careful in that car. Later.

in the celica there is a lack of lateral movement in the shifter..... a-u-t-o

if u've never been to a track day i suggest u go. if there are miatas, i suggest u sit in one.

i did. and i was sold at that moment. i saw some miatas with little engine mods - no boost- (only suspension) run away from a chipped S4 with brembos at laguna seca. i was in the s4.... and all the drivers were instructors. so pretty much they were taking similar lines and the cars made the difference

i also sat in a carrera, but thats a different story in itself....

anyway i wanted a stick RWD car... and this was as cheap as i was willing to go... did not want to jump on the 240sx bandwagon and 2nd gen mr2s are overpriced now... and i hear they're kinda sucky too. with around 7k to spend on a car this was as good as it got.

once i get fluent with the tranny i'll be taking this baby to the track ;)

Cool! Well good luck with it and like I said earlier be careful on the open roads because a lot of people have a hard time noticing Miatas. If I had a dime for everytime my friend was ran off the road or almost ran over or in some cases actually hit, then I would be a very rich man. After the last incident he sold it LOL. It is very dangerous for this reason. Driving a Miata is like riding a bike you have to be very aware of everyone else. Just a little FYI!
