I reccomend having me install it because I need the $$$ :)

In all seriousness its a pretty time consuming install, but its only of medium difficulty. Easier than building an engine to be sure. I would say that in general if you think you would need instructions for more than the wiring, hose routing and pipe identification / layout that I would advise you have someone else do it for you.

Mind you I am trying to write the install guide to where a retarded 3rd grader could do it so once the guide is done that may change. But I'm up to about 13 pages now and only maybe 1/2 done so you'll have to be patient.

The good news is that there are color pictures for everything and I'm even calling out all the individual bolts, giving exact tool reccomendations, the whole ball of wax.

Estimated time to completion: I would say 3 - 4 weeks still unless my real job is unexpectedly slow over the next couple of weeks.

if it actually comes with everything it is supposed to, it's not too bad.

most of my time was consumed by running back to the store to get more parts or tools that i needed

I see that you live in Porterville. I recommend you call Le-Toy Motorsports in Bakersfield and talk to them about ordering and installing your kit. They are an authorized SF product installer. They have a pretty good relationship with SF and can get you the kit and properly install it. They will also provide you with a before and after dyno result. Tell them Richard with the yellow Celica sent you.

It took me about 3 attempts. On the third attempt I had all the tools and and parts needed. I completed the kit in about 9-10 hours without any breaks. It is very time consuming, and many things can go wrong. But if you are low on cash, I'm sure you can do it.

I'm pretty sure the guy doing the turbo install write up(for SF) is an authorized SF turbo installer ;)

Boosted2.0 does things right, and he needs moolah, I'd highly reccommend boosted :gap:

Take off the front engine mount. Unbolt the rear engine mount(just the horizontal bolt). Dont forget to undo the crossmember. Disassemble the hub. FInd a 30mm 12 pt socket and breaker bar. Remove the axle. Drop the rest of the exhuast. Remove the heat shield and header and replace it with the turbo+manifold.

1. remove all heat shields and stock header
2. remove entire b pipe (exhaust from header to axle)
3. remove or unbolt crossmember and swing to the side
4. remove front and rear motor mounts
5. remove the axle nut, carrier bracket, and transmission carrier mount and pull the passanger side axle right off the car

now swing the engine all the way to the front and ram it up in there!

could you give some quick instructions on the hose routing, and the wiring. Possibly the pipe ID too? Thanks!

The picture I posted shows the pipe layout and direction basically. As for the hoses, stafford reccomends you install the vacuum T in rhe evap purge line and take the FMU, SS and BOV vacuum lines off of that T. Make sure you use a good tight hose and put a tie wrap around the ends of it to keep it from blowing off under boost.

You can also take the vacuum off the small nipple that the hose for the flapper door in the intake used to come off of.

heres the pic that shows the routing again:

I have no idea which of these vacuum lines is the evap purge line. Can you be descriptive, like where is start and ends?

Starts at the throttle body and ends at the VSV right in front of the ECM. Its maybe 6-8 inches long.

HAHA.......where's the VSV and the ECM.....lol The only line I have coming out near the TB is the big one that comes out of the side of the manifold and goes to the port on the top side of the valve cover. I plugged the other 2 of the holes in the throttle body

oh wow, I know why I'm having so much trouble now....that line that you have the "T" in...mine doesn't lead to the manifold......it leads to the back of the engine bay. There's 2 lines that come off of that grey thing in your picture, but both of mine lead to the back of the engine bay......which is wierd because in the vaccuum routing picture on the hood, it shows it going back to the throttlebody. I guess I'll just stop by toyota and ask them what's up with that. I have mine in the same line you do, just mine leads somewhere else...lol Maybe it's just different on the 03 corollas. Oh..that line that used to go to the stock airbox...you said we could use that nipple......where whould the other end go.....would you just plug it up?

Other end? You mean if you use the vacuum T? Just go to autozone and get a 2 way T instead of a 3 way or yeah, just cap the end.

BTW - I made a new vacuum routing for Tomcats car this week. I'll try and rememebr to take pictures this weekend, I like the new method better.

I figured it out.....My vacuum lines were crossed from the start......they probably go crossed when I put in my clutch.........that's why nobody's directions made sense.......oh, and I know what and ecm is, I was just in a rush and wasn't thinking, I had the vacuum lines on my brain.
