Looks like another porker from Mitsubi****. Seems to have more overhang than a schoolbus, I hope that is just the padding.

those black covers help destroy the actual cars body lines. By doing that other car companies or "spy photography" cant really tell what the car really looks like. The actual car is probably white but by having black and white together helps it hide its real design.

looks like to me the same car with just little differences, the front headlights look the same you can see them alittle, rear lights are different and rear is different but the fron still looks the same to me with the covers, will see its probly sucks like the 2000up, can't have 2 turbo cars? make it a turbo like the good ol days!

as a lot of you know, i'm most crazy about the 4g eclipse than anybody on this board, i immediately clicked on the link after i got in the general forum. whatever the 4g eclipse will look like, i'm gonna get it for sure.

one thing that looks kinda weird is that did you guys notice there's an extra window infront of the passenger window? i think they should remove it, it's not functional. but the spy pic basically is what i guessed the eclipse would look like: low center of gravity and resemblence to 2g eclipse... quote me on that cuz that's what the 4g will look like!

lol that's the main reason why i didn't got the 3g! but there's some body kits that actually make the lines look nicer.. but i'm waiting for the 4g anyway

Under all those covers is a car basically the same shape as the concept, and even the headlights and taillights look to be the same. Of course, you can see some foam padding underneath the covers on the bumpers and hatch to throw off the shape for spys, but the exterior should look very close to the concept.

nice! hey blue did you notice that the head in both concept e and spy pic looks different? concept e have rounded hood and have oval look while the spy pic car has flatter head and hood.

oamisnwa
08-05-2004, 08:01 PM
concept e also appears to be shorter in length overall, i have they don't make it that long or else it's just another variation of 3g.

Ugly Pete

it would look a lot better if the front end stayed like the concept.

and yeah... nice pontiac.

There's padding underneath the hood and rear roof that gives it that appearance, especially from the side view. The biggest changes I can see are the lack of a full glass roof and smaller wheel wells. The concept had 20's on somewhat thick tires for that size, and still had a bit of wheel gap left. The test car seems to have 16s or 17s with just about the same amount of gap. The rear wheel may have also been moved in a bit, probably to pass rear crash testing.

Here's where all the padding is:

nice! i can't believe i didn't see the padding on the roof. now that you pointed out, i'm starting to see the original oval design.

That's one long big ass front.:ugh: They're not chrysler, They never keep it close enough to concept. It's going to definately need some bigger wheels to fit those gaps.

It's going to be worse than the 3G. They should have dropped the Eclipse name and called the 3G something else, same with this one.

The spy pics seem close to the concept except for the front clip. If it was like the concept with the hybrid, I would consider it. Looks more interesting than anything new toyota has in the works, except the volta.

The Eclipse is a chick car, has been since the 2nd gen. They are gonna want the 3.0L because stuff happens when they hit the gas pedal and it makes the car feel fast.

(don't get me wrong. I really wanted a GSX. Finding one that had not been modded or wasn't horribly overpriced was impossible, though)

Mitsu has the Evo for the enthusiasts, and bless them for it.

At this rate it will be a updated 3000gt sl. It would be cool if they would drop in the 4g and keep the weight under 3k lbs pounds though :jerk:

whatever they do, please don't jack up the price.. 3g is already expensive for what it has to offer

I almost got a '98 GSX with 20,000 miles on it for $12,000 about six months ago. Found it on autotrader one morning at about 2am and went then and there to check it out. Went back at when the dealership opened and two other guys were already in line for it....that was my third try at getting one. It must be a sign.

You know how likely that is. With the Evo here there is zippy incentive to do that.

Besides that snout looks like it was completely redesigned to fit in something like a v-6.

looks too big. reminds me of a 3000gt in length, or a stang...not a sports coupe.

Bet it'll be similar to a Cougar..fwd, v6, sporty looking, but lacking on performance.

ah well, I already own a "gsx", so **** em.

looks like they made the car a little longer than the concept..which is good.i didnt like the 350 concept becouse it was too round..but the finished produvt was a lil sharper and longer..nice.that saved that car in my opinion
