Does the GT have an amp??

I have a 2001 GT, Im not sure if its the upgraded stereo or not. But I was wondering if I have an amp in mine? If so where is it? Or where should I look?

not sure if you do or not but look behind the glove box for the amp. it should be on the right with 2 plugs coming from it

do to the dealer and ask or check out the window ssticker, it woud say on there.

Give the 2 pins/bolts on each side of the glove box a 1/4 turn back towards the seat and the box should swing down out of the way. The amp will be up and to the right if you have one. you can see it here.

Or, (instead of dismantling the glove box) simply stick your head under the glove compartment. Look toward the side mirror. And you'll see a rectangular heatsink. Thats the amp. If you dont have one, then there should be an empty space behind the glove box.
