I just purchased a new radar detector and I want to hardwire it to the car so I don't have wires hanging all over the place. How do I do this? Has anyone done it, and if so, can you please give me a brief description of how you did it?
Thanks,
Lynx

run the power wire to a power source like the sunroof power wire, or the cigarette lighter and ground the other wire.. pretty simple..

or if you are lazy like me you can take it to Hifi buys or tweeter depending on what they call themselves were you live and pay them 20 bucks to do it for you. They did a really good job the jumped it off the lead wire to my head unit.

Just a note...
Even though the sunroof power wires have positive power at them, I don't believe they will work. When you ground them (ie. power something) they run the sunroof motor.
If someone has made this work, let me know, but I don't think it will. You can however use the dome light positive.

Uh its very easy. Just wire it onto your dome light before the switch. Its very easy and took a novice like me 5 minutes to do it.
