Tansmission Swap

OK well I have a corolla s with a 5 speed transmission. If I wanted to go with a 6 speed would the Corolla xrs, Matrix xrs, and Celica Gts all be the same. If so what have you guys found these tranny's going for price wise. Would be nice to get the 6-speed and then put an lsd on that and swap it right in. What do you guys think. Last question how much better for acceleration is the 6-speed compared to the 5-speed.

that sounds like a plan. All you do is get a 6speed and it bolts right up.

So can you ever find the 6 speed at a junkyard? Anyone done that? How much would all new parts run me?

Call around some junk yards or get online and look around.
