Ok I've been away from the board for a while, was going through some of the posts.

I really want to add the mallory switch to my kit but I can't remember where the best place is to get them so if someone would be kind enough to direct me that would be great.

***EDIT: Trying to buy one in F/S foruum but if you could direct me to good retiailer still appreciate it.

Now I can go 1 step colder w/ 50 shot on the street at 0.35 gap as opposed to 0.44 and be ok? Does the car bog like crap on just gas? My friend reccomended the NGK BKR7E but he was running a GT-S and I am running a GT, I don't understand the heat ranges trying to find some info today but I think this was 2 steps colder b/c my car bogs like crap on regular gas.

***Ok I found info on iridium plugs, I know mine are IK16's and that the number is supposed to be on the insulator, so 1 step colder would be 17's, but does this still hold true when you switch to copper plugs?

Next question, I am going to try running 75 at the track I think, 2 steps colder I presume for added safety and power?

Many people using progressive controllers at the track? I'm wondering how to handle the wheel spin in first gear, or do you somehow try to stay 90% on the throttle through first and then hit it in 2nd?

Thanks.

your best bet might be jeg's high performance for the window switch

I'm not positive on the gt, but go to a store where they have the book to cross referance their plugs, it will have a heat range chart, you're about right, use 1 step for 50 shot, and 2 just to be on the safe side for 75 shot, if you're like me and don't spray on the street, you can just put the other plugs in at the track.

and the heat range is not effected (at least in the books) by iridium or copper, the spark area on an iridium plug is just too small.

If you have gapped them to .035 that may be causing your bogging on regular gas. you just don't want the spark to blow out during the nitrous run (unused fuel and nitrous in the cylinder is a really bad idea) , and you don't want the plug to get hot either... causes detonation

I've actually ran with a .044 gap, last time I think I changed it to .035 on the track plugs.

as far as the controller, no one on here has one as far as I know. the window switch can be used as one by turning the low rpm setting up... I do this on mine, it's usually at 3800rpm.
but that all depends on your tires and your launch, if you're spinning off the line, you won't hook back up with the nitrous on. if you don't spin on the launch, you can get away with alot of throttle after.

Awesome thanks for the input, there's no track here so on very rare, rare occasions I go out on a weekend where we find a quite road for a few passes, but very rare.

The last plugs I actually didn't gap, left them at what they were set at so maybe they were too cold and too much gap. But yah bog something terrible.

I'm hoping to mount some drags on my stock 15's for track use real soon, never used them before so I'm sure it will be different then the crap Z tires I was running.

Either way thanks very much for the input looking forward to trying the window switch. I was reading your info (I think it was you) about the issue of the fuel pump running a bigger shot, so I am debating whether I should run 75 at the track or not.
