Not a very flashy RSX on display. While I don't care for the styling of the interior, I found the seats a lot more comfortable than the Celica, and liked the additional legroom and headroom.

God, what an ugly car. Honda really dropped the ball on the RSX.

I have a question why does EVERYONE seem to think the RSX has more head and leg room than the Celica? the RSX from Carpoint and KBB and for that mater everywhere else I have seen give this for the head and leg room in the front and back of the RSX 37.8 head front 30.1 head back 43.1 leg front and 29.2 leg back well the Celica has 38.4 front head 35 rear head 43.6 front leg and 27 rear leg. So the Celica has a little more in everything but rear leg room where it looses 2 inchs.. but better to loose that than the 5 inches the RSX looses in head room .. maybe I am missing something but after driving and sitting in both I think the Celica was actaully has more room but it doesnt' always feel like it because things rap around you more.. WHICH I LIKED about my Celica.. anyway.. neither have room compaired to my Spec V now. :) I was just wondering why everyone thought it was more roomie.. and I answered my own question.. it doesnt' rap around you..

What I don't get is how everybody says the RSX's seats are more comfortable than the Celica's. They feel pretty much the same to me.

Actually they are the same vents as in the eclipse too. I think that there maybe another car that has them too. They are almost definitely outsourced from a maunfacturer having nothing t do with any of these companies besides selling them parts.

The car manufacturers don't make every single part for the cars. It's alot cheaper sometimes to get the parts outsourced because of economies of scale.

the knobs dont get jacked... they (the auto show people, or the car companies) take them off on purpose, so that they DONT get jacked....there was not a manual car at the LA show with the originial shifter, some where covered with duct tape or something..... or maybe i wandered into the hyundai section or something "kekekeke ^-^"

I park next to an black RSX at work everyday. The car is too high off the ground, could drop the car 3 inches I think. A body kit would make the car look much nicer.

You're right! I hadn't made the connection to the Cavalier before; I know it reminded me of something.

As for why they didn't show a project RSX (god knows there's a decent aftermarket for it already), I guess it's because us Coloradoans only drive trucks.

Seriously, you should have seen the GM and Ford exhibits, which are always the first two and largest of the show (sort of like Micro$oft at Comdex :-)---there were more trucks there than most other manufacturers had cars.

We have some some haters in here...biased too! But then, this is a celica forum. I and along with a lot of other people think this is a pretty nice car. You guys are either jealous or intimated.

jealous or intimidated? not really. I just think they could have done a much better job with the styling. the thing is a little over 55 inches high, and it does not handle or break very well at all. People have been getting terrible 60ft times, because they are having trouble getting traction. I like the interior though, and it is a nice reliable car. I would take the nimbleness of my celica over that car anyday though.

I look at it this way. I go into my garage happy that I have the celica. If the RSX was in its place, I dont think I would have that same feeling.

According to Sport Compact Car and most Ragazines, the RS-X is the best sport compact car around.

I saw one at my work, and everytime I part next to it feels like I parked next to a sport-ute. That thing is high.

One thing I like about the RS-X is, they have better looking body kit than the Celica.

i'm not hating, i just don't really like the front end of the car... too much like a europeon car and not a honda

just my opinion

I'm starting to see tons of RSXs (of course, not type Ss) on the streets now. I think they have no design style whatsoever and they dont impress me at all. Unless a car has twin turbo 6 cyl AWD *cough....VR4* I'm not impressed :)

Yup.. why is every new car nowadays short and tall? What ever happend to making a sports car look SPORTY? I happen to prefer the low and long look for sports cars, like on f-bodies or 'vettes or even my G5 Prelude.. :)

Oh well.. all these new crappy looking cars makes me like the 'lude even more.

I think it just seems that the RSX has better body kits than the Celica because the RSX looks too plain to start with( for a new sport coupe). The Celica's stock design is pretty unique so a kit doesn't make AS noticeable a change to the design. My friend drives an RSX ( not type S), and i think it pretty much looks like an egg, lol. I like the interior, especially the night lighting. just my thoughts, peace

imo, i like the rsx. my fiance thinks it looks better with a spoiler, which i agree. with an imagination, that thing could look just as sweet. there are lots of body kits available for that and greddy already has a supercharger for it.
