Does anyone make an intake manifold forthe VVTi (GT), I am thinking of getting one made up in stainless steel and having it premade with extra injector ports and ports for nitrous to go direct.

Reason being the damage done to my car from the nitrous was progressive along the pistons from the throttle body end, this is where the single injector was mounted. Piston 1 actually cracked a chunk off (luckily it vapourised in the heat :) ), piston two had minor damage, 3 was messy but not damaged and four was ok, seems to me like a bit of a flow problem, as 1 and 4 are TDC together on opposite strokes (same for 2 & 3) my guess is 1 is sucking all the gas/fuel and 4 is getting very little.

Any opinions or advice?

nope.. though I think you can send yours to NX or NOS and have them do the direct port thing for you

Hmm, I can drill the plastic manifold myself but it would also be nice to have a shiny metal bit on the front of the engine  , plus I think a better airflow could be acheived.

There's actually an intake manifold in the works for GT's. Why don't you give Golden Eagle a call (909) 592-4311 Ask for Vince or Ted. I think the manifold's ported and sleeved......

i think it should be done in a few weeks

Interesting, any chance of an email address, time difference UK to US can be a problem getting hold of people.

Golden Eagle says they're still working on those manifolds, but it's taking a long time. Give em an email at: vince@goldeneaglemfg.com or sales@goldeneaglemfg.com
Also, their phone number is (909) 592 - 4311 Work

I remember Vince saying their email's phuckd up because of a virus. The last time i heard about the GT manifold Vince said that the pipes are already been cut and stuff and they need to work on the flange. I dunno....

Keyshawn: when is the last time you called them?

celicauk: if they dont lag it should be done within April. I think they've been lagging coz they think no other company's are making them yet.

FYI: Ted(the owner) said the it'll add 25hp on your turbo. So if a turbo'd GT runs 240, it'll be 265hp with the manifold......(that's just an estimate)

aZnTrD2k,
Called them yesterday. The project is still active, but it's not a priority. I talked to Ted Tiaga. He's thinking early April (hopefully). I'll keep calling every few weeks for updates.

Thanks guys, this could be just the thing, or maybe I should look at having a custom sliding body made.......

:D

BTW - I have a bit of free time whilst waiting for bits to arrive, hence dreaming up new projects to take my celi further over the edge.
