View Full Version : New Struts/Shocks: KYB Gas Adjustable or Tokico

I probably need to get new struts/shocks for my car.

Wondering what you'll think. Whether i should go with the KYB's or Tokico. Give me some compelling reasons so as to help me make a choice.

I'd go for Tokico Illumina shocks.

If you're dropping <1.5" go with the KYBs, if you're dropping more than that, neither is designed for what you want to do.

i already have a drop. I am using the Eibach Sportlines. 1.75 in front and 2.25 in the rear. What do you recommend

I believe Koni makes a shock that can handle that much lowering, you could email them, or I'm sure someone on here knows the model.

Wait, unknown, but probably not long. Price, you could buy coilovers for the price of custom Konis. ;) Not sure of the exact pricing, but it's definitely not gonna be cheap like KYBs or Tokicos.
