HI, i have a 2000 red celica GT and i was wondering about how much does it cost to put neon lights underneath my car. and since my car is red, would red neon lights be cool?????
Hrm, I just put neons under my car. I did it myself though, so I'm really not sure how much it would cost for a place to do it. Its more fun to do it yourself, and really isn't that hard. It helps if you have a body kit, cause you can hide the lights in the lips of the side skirts. At least, thats what I did.
I have a silver GT-S with blue neons, and it looks pretty sweet. One of my bulbs burnt out so I need to get it replaced. If you buy from streetglow, they have a long warranty on theirs, so they replace them for free. I paid $200 for the entire set of neons from them. I got the gold package, they have a cheaper package available as well.
As far as colors go, its pretty much up to you as to what you think looks cool. Blue, Green, Red are pretty vibrant colors. Since you have a red car, the red neon will look cool, or you might want a little contrast, so getting an off color like green looks pretty sweet too. Up to you :)
If you elect to do them yourself, I'm sure there's someone in your area who might be able to help you. You just need 4 jack stands a couple of hours. Check out the USA - North Central forum, it covers Wisconsin, and there might be some folks in your area that can give you a hand. Good luck!

yeah putting them on yourself is the way to go. do u have a bodykit cause it hides them a lot better. i have a 2000 black celica gts with red neons under mine and it looks "evil" it defianately turns heads. buy from streetglow cause in all honesty they are the best shine to them plus the warranty like mentioned above.

I have no clue about how to do anything to my car. I just got it 2 weeks ago and it's stock, and i'm trying to think of cheap little things to do to my car. I was thinking red windshield wipers and a red thing that goes across the top of the front windshield.

HAHA. that's mean. If you want neons, go with streetglow. They have the best lifetime warranty. I still need to send them my POS neon for them to replace! I can't stand having only the fronts and rears on. DAMMIT. Why am I so lazy?

They work fine without a body kit. I have mine installed with no problems, and you can't see the tubes either.
No colors are legal in California, which is why I don't drive with mine on much.

There have been many questions regarding the legality of (neon) products. Please be advised that many states have issued Summonses, under the statute of improper lighting, optional lighting, unapproved lighting, or improper use of lighting. However, these statutes are primarily focused on original vehicle lightning which must abide by certain rules and regulations set by AAMVA (American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators) such as, ONLY red, white or amber are allowed on a vehicle and these lights must be no brighter than a specific brightness allowed by law, and the lights must be affixed at certain heights. Under these terms, if NEON is installed beneath your vehicle emitted just a glow and the bulb is not visible from front, rear or sides, regardless of color, IT IS 100% LEGAL!
You have every right to have neon lighting because there is no law, in ANY state that prohibits neon lighting.

Gold Series VS. Blueline
Sronger Lexan tubing to protect the Neon tubes.
Bigger tubes. (not longer tubes the glass neon tube is larger diameter more neon gas = brighter)
Uhh THere is 1 high voltage Powersupply for all 4 neons.which means brighter illumination. (Blue series sticks have little crappy transformers in each tube)

Not True I looked it up... You cannot have any visible light other than Amber, Yellow, or white illumintating from the sides or front of your car. Red is a stop color and will confuse/fuk W/ surrounding drivers..... Also Red or blue are considered Emergency Vehicle colors and you could get a ticket for impersoniating an emergency vehicle if the cop wants to be a D!ck, not a good ticket to get... But Fuk this just don't drive W/ them on only turn them on when parked or crusing... It looks stupid otherwise.
