I just got my '04 and I've been hearing a rattling/squeaking every time I drive highway speed or go over bumps/holes. Something I noticed when washing my car was that every time I press on the bumper ever so slightly, it squeaks.
I recently found the source with the help of a body shop technician - the styrofoam abosrber is extra "shiny" and slick, moreso than normal abosorbers. I guess the manufacturers put more gloss on this one than others, so when it rubs against the bumper, you hear squeaking.
Are there other owners who have experienced this? I already ordered another absorber under warranty, but I'm just curious to know if this is a rare case.
