Okay, here in NJ we have this dumb law that will not let you pump your own gas...so the moron who operated the pump last time I got gas for the celica SLAMMED my fuel lid door really hard! Now I cant get the damn thing opened....wtf do I do??? (besides going back there with a tire iron)

Yeah I can just see it now, they are gonna try and open it themselves and scratch up my paint, or deny that they did it, I have no proof, this happened a few weeks ago (I dont drive it regularly) How do I open the door safely?

HEY i just thought of something ... GO GET A SUCKTION CUP.
you know the things that make the garfield doll stick to the window LOL. But get a BIG ONE ... get a friend to pull the release latch as you pull on the sucktion cup .... AND WALLA no scratches!!
you should get it open ... get a goood sucktion and it will pull a tremendous amount of force!

i think i'll go to kmart and go pick up this handy dandy suction cup..... just like garfields but not quite... then what im gonna do is put it on ur butt and pull real hard and out comes the crack u just smoked. hahaha :rofl:
anyway in all seriousness...... make them pay for it... or most gas stations have this kind of service garage type thing, they should be able to.... or if that doesnt work, take it to toyota, have them fix it, and sent the recipt over to the gas station.... if that doesnt work, ur luck sucks like crazy: go get a lawyer

Uh.. its not that hard... just use a credit card or a key to pry it open while someone is pulling on the little lever.... its really easy.. mine does that once in a while...

i hate that freaking law... those people always have an attitude too. i would too if i had to pump some rich asshole's gas while freezing my balls off in 35 degree raining weather

That's one strange law. Is that some kinda Union thing? A union for gas pumpers lol. What are they gonna do if you want to do it yourself-refuse your business?

The little spring thing in the fuel door sucks I've had to bend mine out a little to get the door to open...

On "candid camera" once, they dealt with that stupid law. They had some guy stand by the gas pump, and tell the people that he has his own self-serve gas pump around the corner. If they use it, its a bit cheaper. It was actually pretty funny, a couple of people did pull around the back.
