Make sure you haven't crossthreaded the antenna. If not, torque that antenna down.

just make sure u push down hard while u screw it in, cause the thread isnt that long

the gap is normal... I've seen like 4x celica's (including mine) having that gap... its not that noticeable though...

the threads on the s2000antenna are shorter compared to the stock one so theres gonna be some gap.......

use some threadlock

I had to torque mine down really hard to get it to sit flush.

use threadlock... and I wouldn't twist too hard... you'll push the metal thing up the antenna's ass, and it will start bulging after a while in the antenna

i would be careful with any thread lock. if you put that on, and some ******* tries to steal your antenna, your out of luck if they pull the rubber off and not the metal underneath.

if the threads were shorter there would be no gap... think about it...

DO NOT USE THREADLOCK!!!
It's better that they steal your s2000 antenna than F*ck up your whole unit.
S2000 antenna= $15-$20 Damage repair = $100+..... you get the picture...

BTW, I have no gap w/ my s2000 antenna. Just screw it in really tight, make sure you have it screwed in properly. Been lucky enough to go about 2 years without it being stolen. : knock on wood :

The actual silver peice under the antenna, the base. That can be tightned with a penny. THere should be no gap. My freind coulndt put on his s2k antennae due to the silver base sitting a bit too ghit, we tighned it don witha penny, screwed the antenna on real tight and secure..no problems, no gap.
