I just went to Radio Shack, and bought a couple 12V lights for behind the heater controls, and it did make the controls blue, but still, very dim. By the way, the same bulb covers that I mentioned in earlier posts work great for the cigarette lighter also, just be careful not to tear the cover. But these have a pretty crappy effect on the heater controls. Anyone have any ideas for getting a BRIGHT blue, or any color besides white out of these?

Yes I have some recommendations for you. I was working on this a long time ago, but since the servers changed, I couldn't attach a pic to my replies. :( . I used EL cable from streetglows. Not the kind from target that is made by liteglow. The blue I got was called Deep Blue or something like that. It isn't that neo blue stuff. I tried that, and it made the console torqoise, well, it that's what you're looking for. I wanted that deep blue look to it, so I got some of that, and I used a hot glue gun to hold the el in place behind each icon in the climate controls. Looks really good. The only problem about EL stuff, is that it isn't really that bright through the climate controls. Seriously though, the most effective and inexpensive way to get a blue or white color would be to simply buy that special overlay paint that makes hyperwhites, and use that. The brightness is better that way. If you are looking for that true spectrum of color that could only be replicated by LEDs and ELs, well, they are for you. I'm still experimenting with other sources of light, so I'll let you know in a install like review of what I'm doing when I'm done. Good luck.

OR >> you can just put a red filter on the parts where u want them blue or red or whatever...and just leave the area that you don't want blue...without the filter.....get it?
