To remove the spots in the windows, i recommend a product called sunny bright. It comes in a paste or a liquid, and you take a terry cloth towel, saturate it with some of the sunny bright, and wipe it on throughly onto your window. Rub it in fairly well until it dries, then buff off with a clean towel. If that doesnt remove all the spots, then you are just going to have to deal with it. I used it on my screen door out to my deck. The next day i had a party and people were walking into the door. It works taht good. I would be very cautious however, as it can damage paint if it sits on it at all. Make sure you are very clean and only keep the sunny bright on the rag or the window.
Hope it helps

Myself, I use a wet rag with mild soap if anything and immediately dry it. Try and stay away from using chemicals since it can damage your paint.

my firend owns a body shop and he prepares alot of cars for shows and what eh does for the windows is he first sprays window cleaner on them and while its wet he rubs over it (not to hard) with iether a scuff pad or a steel wool piece(dont scrathc the paint) then wipes the window off with some soft all cotton towels or somethong and then for the finishing touch he uses a buffer with a buffing pad on it and goes ovrer the woindow quickly and it gives it a shine like you can;t believe...my 2 cents...
hope it helps..i actually have to do this ..its time

The best way to do exterior windows is use Stoners Invisible Glass or Eagle 20/20 (both detailer favorites) with newspaper. If you cant avoid getting newspaper on your paint use a microfiber towel or terry.
For the interior you can do the same thing, once again using MF if you cant keep the newspaper off your trim. Both cleaners are safe on tint. If you have tint however dont use newspaper, use MF. In place of MF you can use terry cotton towels. And in place of cleaners you can go down to only using water.
Oh also dont use cheap MF on tint either, you're better off using terry.
I personally use just water and terry cotton clothes on my interior because I have tint and want to minimize any wear on it. Works fine.

All you have to do is go out and buy some steel wool...and gently scrub the waterspots out. Should take u about 5 minutes to clear out all the spots.

xzast...son,
Damn I use this really generic window cleaner foam that you probably could buy at a dollar store. Spray to coat the window. Let sit for 10 seconds and wipe hard and quick with very clean, very dry cotton towels. I never re-wipe with a wet portion of the towel. The karate kid "wax on wax off" technique works. If there is some left, use the "paint the fence technique" to finish it off. It works.

Oh BTW if no cleaners will get out water spots using newspaper or cloth then that means that the minerals in the water have physically etched your paint.
Ultimately you might want to use a glass polish. That should take care of the problem if the spots are etched. I know Zaino makes one. 3M used to make one but I heard its no longer on the market.

eh, why spend $$$ on window cleaner. A small drop of car wash soap mixed with 12oz of water in a spray bottle works just as well and leaves no streaks. but hey, its your money...
