hey everybody. i need wheels for the rsx, but i am totally stumped. i want something in gunmetal fa sho, and i'm also thinking about autoxing soon. but then again, i don't want tiny wheels that won't look good once i get the kit. maybe i'll switch out wheels for street and comp. rox, mark, barry, cody, duncan, anybody? this is such a hard decision, just trying to see what you guys would do in my pants.

Yeah, those wheels you were looking at sunday were nice. There have been plenty of RSX's in the magazines lately to look at different wheels on them. A lot of the ones I've seen looked really nice. Its probably just going to be a personal preference thing.

SSRs in 17s would be cool. If you want 18s get some Tenzos. Save your stock wheels for racing. If you are going for show the 18s will look nice. A lot of people have the SSRs. You would not stand out very much. I went for show and am very happy. Haven't seen anyone with my wheels yet....... I will ask Ivan about Tenzos to see what kind of price he can get you. Finding a gunmetal wheel with a polished lip is hard. There are some cool ones by velox but they only come in a 4x100 bolt pattern. Dronell wheels are nice too if you are still on the expensive kick. Not many people have them and they have several styles in GM.

I also saw an add for the OZ superleggera in 18" w/ a polished lip. It's a 3 piece wheel, so it's probably really expensive. I looked on their website and it's not on there.
these would look good also:

hey thanks everybody for the opinions. yeah, i've seen the rh s7s on my car before, they look okay. i'm once again leaning towards the tenzos, the money issue there is a pretty big factor of course. so the deal i'm looking at is getting the mean 6s (or the upset 7s, i can never decide haha) in 18s for street and taking the money i'm saving from not getting ssr comps and buying faulken azenis' for my stock 16's so i can autox too! whaddya think? rox, i appreciate you looking up the prices for me, that's cool. everybody else, i appreciate your help as well. see you guys during the weekend some time.

The mean 6s are 1350 shipped with tires. You need to decide what brand (falken, kumho, ) and size (I have 225 40 18). He gave me a really good deal and is willing to do it again. He's not making much off this. My other guy said he can't get close to that price. They must have raised their prices. Anyway. 1000 even for 17s with tires and 1350 for 18s with tires. Those Barry posted look sweet too. Let me know.

oh cool, that's a nice price. the kuhmos are ecsta supras, right? if i even called them the right name. do you know if there is a big diff in the way 215/40/18 fit, handle, and look as compared to 225/40/18? just wondering. my tire knowledge is limited. i think cody has 215s, which are like rubber bands, and i kinda like that look. thanks again, i might order this weekend if everything turns out okay! ps-call me crazy, but those racing harts don't look all that special to me.:gap: peace out.

225 is just a wider tire the 40 is what makes it like a rubber band.

225 40 18s are wider and also taller. They make for a better ride and protect your wheels better. That is the widest you can get on a 7.5 wide rim. They are supposed to handle better. I think they are very nice. They hang on through turns really well.

nooooooooooooo!!! rox, i called ivan and he said that the tenzo stuff is all on back order. dammit, dammit, dammit. he said i could try again sometime in mid-april, or just go with another company. i guess i'm gonna order my wheels from wheelmax.com, but i won't be getting the great deal i would be had i ordered from ivan. crap me silly, this sucks. oh well. anyways, i'll see most everybody tonight so i'll fill you in on it then. until then, anybody know where i can get tenzo r mean 6s in 18s with tires for cheap?

Which SSRs? I've never seen anyone else with my SSR GT1's, but I'm assuming you mean the SSR Comps? The Comps are awesome wheels, both in looks and in performance. It really depends on whether he wants to be the only kid on the block with the wheel, or whether he wants the wheel to be the best of both worlds..
