Hey I heard from an auto show that in the "near" future 04-05 Toyota could be bringing back a newly designed Supra. I was just wondering if anyone else heard this...cause if its true then I'm buyin one.

It would be the 5th gen Supra, and there have been so many rumors about a 'new' supra.

I would trade my Celi the second that Supra comes out *panties getting wet thinking of new Supra*

This is what I heard, just to add to the rumors, but maybe anyone has heard something similar: a friend of mine who has owned several Supras, said that instead of a 5th gen Supra, Toyota will be making a new car comprable to the Supra, but called it something new. He said something to effect that Toyota joined Formula One racing, and now has to have a car on the line to represent that (similar to the NSX having the 6 cyl. version of the Formula One 12 cyl.)

This could be totally bunk, but that's the last I heard of the issue! Supra or new car, I would still love to see Toyota bring something back for us.

I doubt a lot of people on this board will be able to afford the new "supra". It has been said that it will cost 75k plus. Quite a far cry from the 25k or less it took for most of us here to buy our Celica's.

Yeah that's what I heard too...around 70-80k. I've heard a V8 or maybe a V8 turbo....they talk about it all the time on their forums....
