TYC Generation Differences?

What's the difference between the TYC tail light generations? Colors, quality, style, anything?

The drivers side taillight has a small gap on the top of the taillight. Gen 1 only.

Newer models fit flush.

Is there anyway to tell them apart, or determine what you have? Many of them on eBay or in the sale forums don't always specify the generation. Even if they're listed as 'new', I'm not sure that would mean the most current generation.

i wouldnt trust buying em on ebay. just buy one from poweredbyrice. i think he was selling em for $65 shipped.

ebay ones are authentic, I bought mines from ebay:thumbup:

Not so fast. I bought ones off ebay too and mine had the gap. Ebay's tricky, and it's very hot or miss.

gb is over i can get u a set for $70 shipped tho..gen 2's with no gaps come in the ricey fast and furious box :(...so gay lol but yeah gen 1 has gap above driver side taillight where water leaks through and it condensates...some ebay ones are the remaining of gen 1s since the prices are so low..i suggest emailing the sellers..because ive seen some fantastic prices there..if not then u can just pm me if u want to go my way where they are gen 2 for sure

mines came in the ricey fast and furious box:) so theyre gen 2's and i bought them from ebay.

Mine came in a big blue box, no fast and furious decals anywhere, Gen 1's from ebay. I've seen that gen 2 box and yeah it does look ricey. :chuckles:
