lighter fuse keeps blowing

Ok, my fuse to my lighter keeps blowing. I will change the fuse then put my cell phone charger in. A spark will fly out of the lighter hole and my fuse will blow instantly. What could be the problem? Thanx.

It just sounds like your cell phone charger is massivley overloading the circut. Is the charger supposed to be used in a car? Does the lighter operate fine, or does it overload the circut when you try to use it(pushing the lighter in, not hooking the charger up to it). This is probably not a cigerette lighter problem, but a problem with the charger you are using.

no, it blows even when I push the lighter in to heat it up. The charger is meant for the car, is it just a short or what? What should I do?
