Hmmm,
Here in Australia the Celica ships with a full size spare, but the boot (trunk) looks like it was designed for a space saver.
What type of spare does it ship with elsewhere?
(hey I know it isn't a CAI or streetglow question, but I am curious)
thanks,
Mamba.

What do you mean by full size spare? Mine is on a cheap thin black rim, prob 15 inch. It's not one of those inflatable tires, but it's not the same tire that's on the car.

The cardboard cover lays flat.

In Europe the Celica also comes with a full size spare. (Could be handy in case you damage a rim)

I would assume he means his spare is exactly like the wheels/tires already on his car, not a cheesy donut tire

Yeah, I also assume that's what he means.
And here in Canada, we also have a full size spare tire, which can be very handy. I never felt secure with the miniature wheels we often get with japanese cars.

Yep, full alloy spare, but the cardboard doesn't fit flat in the boot (trunk).
So I guess they designed the car for the "cheesy doughnut",
Aust = full
Canada = full
Europe = full
USA = "cheesy doughnut"
Japan = ???
thanks, curisoity satisfied.

Just curious, is "tire" spelled "tyre" in australia? or is that a typo?

YOshi31, just so you know, wheels are powdercoated, not dipped. So if you want to change the finish of the wheels you should look for a place that will do some custom powdercoating for you. If you do it, post some pics, I'll bet that they would look great! ;)
