Gt & Gts ?

I've been reading the bulletin board for a while now and this is my first post.

Really wondering if the GT auto is that bad ? Cause really I only hear about people mentioning about performance on the GTS and never the GT. They compare the GT-S to the Type R and RSX. I personally think the performance on the GT is not too bad or is it that I never tried an GT-S. I did go for a test drive GT-S stick and didn't feel tooo much power or was it just because the guy from the dealer was next to me :P

The rule is:

If you aren't interested in performance, get the GT Auto. If you are interested in performance get the GT 5 speed, or the GT-S 6 speed if you can afford it.

And did you take the GT-S above 6000rpm on your test drive cause that's where it shines. Below 6000rpm, it's not worth the money over the GT.

And the GT 5 speed is no slouch when it comes to performance, I think most of the fastest '00+ Celica autocross drivers are in GTs, not GT-Ss. And Maelfyn on this board, the quickest GT 5 speed I know of, has achieved ¼mi times better than many GT-S 6 speeds, but not mine :D.

what kinda times is maelfyn runnin?? just curious cuz i have an idea of what i'm runnin..well when my car was with me and not in the shop..and it should only have improved when i get it back...man i need a ss...ahh..new thread time....

Yes, its that bad. If you want performance, your not going to find it in that car. If you want looks, then its for you. I personally own a GT 5spd and I wouldnt trade it for an auto, even a GT-S auto.:D
