Anyways... i was at the tire shop getting an alignment, and noticed some gt-s rims sitting there, walked over to them, and everything seemed a little too familiar.

Low and behold, they're my rims, which the tire shop got by someone that probably traded them in for something ....

Anyways... the owner of the shop is gonna try and find a receipt for the rims, when they were traded in, etc, etc....

The cops were pricks... didn't say that there was enough solid evidence, but I'll have my way...

Hopefully I can get this resolved, and get my rims back.

on your tires, there should be a number...
I think i found my stock rims w/kumho's that got jacked, and the tires have a serial number... not sure if it's for the batch, or for the model, or what.

on the ones that I think are mine, it's for a
205/50/16
DOT YOMM YAN 0801 (the 0801 is in an oval)

could you guys check your kumho's, and write down the number and provide the tire size w/the number for me? I want my rims back..

here's what it sorta looks like (it may just be on one side)(they were on the driver's side on the set that I think is mine)

supposedly it's a serial # for the tire, or batch of tires....
Thanks.... hopefully I can get more #'s to prove to the goddamn cop that those are my rims... if anyone can make out the number on the pic i posted, that would be great

Hey celicaruss, this is totally off topic of your topic but is your sides painted a different color than your car?

nah.... i put the sides on the car first cuz one of them was a little tweaked to get it to take to the shape of the car (since it's urethane)

that pic was taken back in september or something.

I'm sorry about your wheels getting stolen. As for this code: DOT YOMM YAN 0801, I can decipher it for you:

DOT - DOT Approved Tire
YOMM - Batch #
YAN - Manufacture Site ID
0801 - 8th week of the '01 (it's a 2 digit week, then 2 digit year)

well i didn't do any sharpness changes.. basically you look at the shading and reflections.. the first and 3rd numbers are the same, and definitely look like 0's.. the last is definitely a 1 because it's straight up and down.. the middle is the size of a 0 or 8 but the reflection is different than those 0's, there is something in the middle so i called it an 8... i can try to play around with some curves and sharpness to see if i can make it obvious to anyone..

that would be greatly appreciated... thanks... i'm gonna try printing the original on a plotter and see if that helps :)
