Hello all,

It's great to have the best car in the world, isn't it? Hopefully I'll fit right in here because I am one of those people that parks the farthest away when going into a supermarket because I am that anal about my car type. I have a 03 Celica GT and had a 01 Celica before that.

Ok, well I am mounting a custom graphic equalizer in my dash. Its a little custom unit I had made up that looks exactly like the KITT one. Anyways, I wanted to mount it right into the small compartment box above the radio. In order to do that, I would have to remove the small swinging door and make some modifications to it. IS there any way to take it out without removing the whole part that turns around the radio? Does it even come out?

I am trying to get my hands on a spare one just in case I screw this up. Any ideas? I tried junkyards and dealerships but they just want to sell me the whole piece.

Thanks a lot,
mike

its very simple to take that piece off. take off the a/c knobs and pry from where the e-brake is. there are screws behind where the knobs were. just take them out and pull up and it comes right off.

oh, and its all one piece... the part with the door and the piece that goes around the radio.
