Hey u guys, tryin to persuade the parents...

Ok heres the deal, i think i could talk this guy down a lil bit, There is a guy in my town with a Twin Turbo 1993 Supra for sale. 1993 TOYOTA SUPRA, Twin-Turbo, AT, TE-37 wheels, Black w/ Saddle interior, Beautiful, Financing Available, $24,900. Longmeadow, MA. 413-567-3444 (HM10)

Ok, so i met the guy today..... heres the story:


So i meet the guy, he has had all work done to it at the body shop im "sponsored" by. It has had a paint job done to it. It is black. Amazing condition, the inside and out looks like it was brand new off showroom floor!!! Never had any damage. Heres the kicker... its pushin over 500hp! He has the original twin turbo taken out and has one huge turbo in it. Whole new intercooler, blow off valve, he says it has had 40,000.00 worth of work to it.

Heres the downfalls: its automatic. The chassis has 149,000 original miles, the engine is original and has been rebored and restored and has had 20,000. miles on it since the reboring.

So the guy takes me for a ride...........OMG I FELT LIFT!!! he took me up to 120 mph on the highway and it felt so smooth and it felt like it was only goin 40mph. I literally was pushed back into my seat by its acceleration. The car looks like its brand new, its magnificant! The guy was sayin that he was not gonna be going any lower on the price cause he had originally brought it down from 29,000.00 and if he doesnt sell it for what he wants, he said he doesnt mind keeping it. The thing is i think i would be scared to drive that thing its so fast. Also, its a limited edition. Targa Top. has aftermarket rims. Another thing im not liking is that on the odometer it shows 149,xxx miles.

Finally statement, Im not too sure i want to get it or not and also i am content with my car right now and also i dont think my parents r too keen on the idea.

As i have planned before, ill just get a new car after college, definately a manual! But that ride in his car was just amazing. alot of that stuff is false by the way, and also i would not want a 88 supra cause first of all that was when i was one years old, lol. And second of all i dont like how that looks. Im just sayin, i understand it runs great and was rebuilt but the thing is that i would rather have one that runs the same way and only has 50k original miles. Also, i never said polk audio momo subs were the best, i just liked how they looked. Also, I dont know cars.......the guy was in shock that i was namin off the different brands of parts and what they were when i was lookin under his hood, and different things here and there on the appearance of it. The guy would like to sell it to me cause he saw i was in pure shock on how the speedometer moved so fast like it was an odometer, lol. an auto on a supra is not a downfall, but spending that much cash on a heavily modified vehicle that you will use as your daily driver is not a good idea. From your posts about talking your parents into buying you minor mods, it sounds like you don't have even a fraction of the money it would cost to upkeep that car.

oh about the price, when i was there that day with the guy when he gave me a ride in the supra, he said that he ordered a new gto, and he currently owned a lexus is, but if he doesnt get the price he said for his supra that he wants, than he wont sell it. The only reason he is selling it is because he does not want to keep having to shift 3 cars around supposely. But right now as well, im too busy with all this crap to be dealing with car buying and i know he wont sell it for the price i want of course.

The only person I've met who is close to your age and owns a supra had to go to a professional driving school before his parents let him own it. You should not get the supra, you cannot handle it, you're lucky you've handled the celica this long.

I wish I'd gone to professional school before I picked up the 7, but I just took the cheaters way out and stuck the biggest tires I could in the back. Now its under control!

Well Randy, thank you as always. In fact I just checked my blinker fluid in my celi. I know its not as fast as the auto gt-s that greg has, but I didn't wanna take the chance.
