I am running a 00' Celica GTS is STS and was wondering if the pulleys were worth it at all. My dad thinks it would slow the power steering too much to be any help on an autocross cross. (I'm thinking the same.) Thanks.

Always listen to your dad! (and this time he's even right).
The miniscule gain in HP would never make any difference at an AX. AX is NOT about HP, it's about driving skill. Spend the money on an Evolution school instead and see a BIG improvement in your times. Best bang for the buck!

While I agree with pitcrew, the pulleys will make some gains, ou rlocal STS hot shoe has them and likes them, and he never complains aobut the steering (not sure if his SE-R is power steering or not).
You will see gains with a pulley all the way across the power band (a good thing), in the real worls it might shave up to 0.1 seconds off your time.
On the other hand, a good set of tires can shave up to 2 seconds off your time (unless you are already using Falken Azenis or BFG KD tires). The tires also cost less.
Light weight wheels will make more difference than the pullies, so will good shocks (depending on what you have now).
In all, I would rank the pullies as a mod to save for last, but they will make the car faster.

If we're talking Andy and his 1st gen SE-R, then it IS power steering. I used to have one- traded it in on the Celi.

A random question concerning pullies. Does anyone know if you change out the pullies and stuff, and say get a supercharger, would that negate the money you just spent on lightweight pullies because I think the supercharger hooks up to that same belt?

The other accessories will still run at the reduced speed if each accessory pulley was changed. If only the drive pulley was changed, and you installed the S/C, then either you'd go to whatever ratio the S/C supplied for drive pulley, or reduce (probably) the boost received.
In english:
1. each accessory pulley changed: Lower power loss
2. If S/C replaces Drive Pulley: Probably negate some of the effects of 1.
3. If S/C is designed with original drive pulley in mind, and you replaced it with a slower one: lower boost since the S/C would be underdriven with the aftermarket drive pulley.

so the translation to me is. Don't get the kit for the pullies if plannign to get a supercharger, because ill lose my originial power gains plus lose boost on the sc. right?

There's a good chance of that happening.
