monthly meets?

Whatever happened to our monthly meets. We seem to have gotten away from them and just hang out every weekend. I think if we try to have monthly meets again we might be able to get more people to come. I know for me it is hard to make the trip to Atlanta every weekend. It seems like some of the different people that were coming out have stopped and its always the same 4 or 5 of us that get together. It would be cool if we could get more people to come once a month and then the smaller group of us that have become friends could still hang out after meets and the rest of the time. What do you all think? I was just thinking about that and thought I'd bring it up.

If you guys wanna arrange something I'll do my best to pass the word to some of us celica "old-schoolers" and see who I can drag up, even though the number of us who still own Celicas is getting smaller daily.. :(

i think some of us have just gotten to be better friends which is why we all hang out all the time. but i think it would be good to have maybe one "real" meet or something where all the people who cant make it out all the time show up. i can do something tonight (and will have my car), however my dash is at the body shop so i wont be able to turn on my A/C, lock my doors with the switch or roll down my windows. i dont think my powemeter, shift light, or gauge lights will work either. so that kinda sucks. and then for those who havent heard, i am getting a complete new transmisson which im not real happy about but oh well.

I think it is really cool, and I never would have expected back in november at our first meet that everyone would become good friends and everything. I wouldn't have been surprised if we had had a few more meets and then the club fizzled(spelling?) out. The idea we were talking about a few months ago of making cards for the club with our web address and the forum would still be good. That way when we see people in nice Celicas we can flag them down and invite them and maybe start having bigger meets once a month or whatever.

well i got my car back today and should have it for a few days while they're waiting on the parts to come in. the tech guy told me it would be the exact same transmission that's in there now (meaning not a 2002 one), but i'm not completely sure if he knew what he was talking about. i hope really bad that he did though. i'll let everyone know once i find out, they told me the parts should be in mid to late next week and then they'll have it for another few days.

well as it figures, they worked fine the whole way home. eventually i might run the power to somewhere else but that might take some motivation. and yea, im bored too but also extremely tired so i think im gonna go to bed. oh yea, happy easter to everyone, i'm looking foward to gettin down on some honeybaked ham tomorrow :)

Happy easter! We will be eating honey baked ham too. That stuff is good! I'm probably going to spend the rest of the day planning how to spend all my money this month. Lets see....wheels, tires, intake, bulbs, strut braces, harness....thats should take care of the next several months.

me too. i'm on a big hid kick right now, probably because of all those awesome luxury cars we saw yesterday with hella tight hid's. trying to figure out if i can buy the jdm cf headlight housing and then buy an hid conversion kit other than the jdm one (too expensive). wonder if that'll fit?
