wats the fastest i can drive on stock tires?

i was just wondering wats the fastest i can rive on my stock tire/wheels.i have a 01 gt 5 sp. i know these tires aren't z rated i wanna know so if i ever find a long street all to my self i don't kill my self cuz the tire weren't meant to go that fast

ive maxed mine out on the yokohamas. around 140 something. i dunno if its safe or not

I went 133 completly stock and that wasn't maxed out. as for if the tires should have gone that fast probably not. My stock GT rims had H rated tires which I think is like 9X miles an Hour but I think that is just becuase at speeds higher then that the tires get hot quickly so if they get to hot they will blow, so you could probably do high speed just not to long

I wouldnt worry about it. I used to drive 100-110 on non speed rated mud-radials on my old 4-runner. Absolutely NO problems.

Some one correct me if I'm wrong becaus I'm not 100% sure if this is true or not but....

I'm pretty sure that in the US there is a law that if the car is capable of speeds that exceede the limits of the tire that the manufacture equips the car with, then the manufacture is required by law to limit the top speed of the car. So if there is no speed limit on the Celica(which there isn't), then you should be able to top the car out on the tires that it came with, unless of course you have a bunch of mods that will increase your top speed, then you might want to look into the speed rating of the tires if you actually plan on going that fast.

yeah i guess ur right chameleon,in the owners manual i saw that they had a chart for how fast the tires should go for wat ever rate tire ur have,like z or wat ever else there is,thats y i asked if its ok for stock tires to go really fast

I believe the stock Yokohama tires are speed rate V. Which mean u can go up to 150mph.
