Ok here's the deal....I'm not positive about all this but I think I have a pretty good idea....

S-AFC allows you to control the air/fuel ratio at 500rpm increments. So it is what it is...meaning...you can use it by itself and still have some sort of performance gain. My point to this is I work with a guy that drives a 4.6 '98 mustang gt, he's looking into getting a s-afc, but needs to find a wiring diagram first. He posted on mustangworld and is getting flamed. People on that board are claiming s-afc's are only useful when running boost. I doubt that is the case seeing that how many people on this board are using s-afc's w/o boost.

im not a domestic guy so i have no idea if it would work, but accourding to a-pexi's website its "universal" application. Whether or not that crosses over to domestics i couldnt say

The more bolt ons you have the more air you're going to have pushing through your valves. Since you are still using stock fuel maps you will be running lean. An s-afc corrects your air/fuel ratio, ultimately making more horsepower.

So the more parts you have that increase air flow, the more useful an s-afc will be.
