i got a speeding ticket yesterday driving home from kcc.. i was going 60 on the freeway and the ******* gave me a ticket. just to warn you guys.. it might not be such a great idea to be driving even 10 or 15 miles over the speed limit. damn cops have nothing better to do but to give tickets to people who aren't even freakin driving that fast.. oh well.. lesson learned.. next time while driving next to a cop.. drive minimum speed limit =P

i already wrote a letter. he paced me.. he was in front of me then dropped down next to me.. then he went behind me.. and just as i was stopping behind this guy bc there was traffic..he turned his light on.

yep wait till 3 days before the due date of the letter then mail it along with your drivers abstract showing that you have a clean record. BE SURE TO INCLUDE THE ABSTRACT TO SHOW YOUR PROOF. it goes a long way when you do things to prove you are who you say you are.

sometimes you luck out and the speed check expires.

there is only one highway, and I believe it gets to 55 mph.....

maybe you meant kauai :) dont know about the speed limits on kauai, but the speed limits are between 45-55 on the H-1 (depending on what section- it varies between 55 and 45 around the university area), 60 on the H-3, and 55 on the H-2 i think??? :confused: either way.....60 is not even speeding. ive been passed by people doing easily 75 on the H-1 (right after the airport offramp, you know the place?) lameness. good luck if you are going to contest it

Why were you still going 60 when you knew there was a cop pacing you? You should know to slow down. You were probably thinking of jacking someone's thread with topics like Super Mario.

uh i didn't think the cop was pacing me... i was driving slow.. plus he was well in front of me going faster.. and i was about to hit traffic anyway so i was braking when he was pulling up next to me.. it's not like i revved and sped up to him.. bc the area was 50.. didn't think the cop would be dirty enough to pull me over for going 10 mph over the speed limit. and if you're salty about me jacking your tread.. i'm sorry.. that's my specialty.. plus clint isn't here to answer your question.. he's probably the only one who knows the answer for you.. so actually i'm doing you a favor by keeping the thread on top. : )

he had to have been pacing you at least an 1/8 of a mile i think is the rule. hard to do if you ask me. you have to have been going 60 for 1/8 of a mile and he had to have some sort of gauge to know how fast you were going compared to him.

fight the ticket.

yeah i'm so over it.. i'm seriously thinking of changing cars.. hopefully i can save some $$ to get a TL.. that's what i really wanted in the first place. the bs cops gives me is sooo dumb.. i mean it's the 2nd time already.. they should just leave me alone =( i'm no racer. i was hoping he'd stop me and notice that i'm not a young filipino guy and let me go =) but i guess not.. oh well.. i'll find out later if they let me off *cross fingers*
