What cars can the celica gt beat

Heys guys what cars did you beat with the gt and list the mods that you have.

I beat two GT-S's in autocross last week, (Bling & Skatamatic) but on the road I beat Civic's Sentra's a couple SI's and a few others my mods are listed in my Sig

civics, altima, older Accord 4cyl with mods, del sols, focus. I don't have manny mods yet or the list would be longer.

i've beat: mustang v6, camaro v6, integra GS, GSR, 3000GT jetta1.8T, audi A41.8T (both 150hp), 99 beatle, civic si & ex, isuzu vehicross, celica: gt-s auto & GT, mazda rx-7, G60 Corrado, '93 Celica.

I've lost to: Mustang GT & Cobra, Camaro SS, Integra Type R, 3000GT, Civic DX, Mazda RX-7, GTI VR6.

Thats about all that i can think of right now. The worse a$$ kicking i've had was by a GTI. My best victory was against a Civic SI. As people have said time and time again, the most important factor in racing is the driver. I'd say that a race against any car with a 0-6 between 7 and 9 is going to depend heavily on the driver. Thats for a Manual, of course.

Give our GT's some credit. I have beaten many a car and my car is an auto. I have beaten Civic's many a time, heavily modded 4 cylinder Accords, an old BMW (I have no idea what it was) and even a Chevy Malibu :).

I really doubt the DX was stock. If it was he most likely did not drive very well, or was messing around with the guy. Keep in mind that the Civic DX gets a whopping 96 hp at the crank.

no, the DX was NOT stock. i have no idea what was done to it, but the car was FAST!!!! I got a little too much wheel spin off the line, and i think he slipped the clutch. Well anyways, he beat me off the line, and i never caught up. He got 4-5 carlengths ahead of me and i just gave up. lol. He had a LOT of low end torque, i think he had a S/C or Turbo, but i'm not too sure.

a guy in my car club has b16 jspec in his DX it's a lighter car so if he was going for speed it's better with DX than LX or EX

Forget it. GT is pretty slow :) But it's a beautiful car that handles great for a FF car and is fun to drive. If you try to make a GT fast, you gotta realize it's like fighting a battle uphill. Stick with what the car is good at. Reliability, handling, and looking good. I believe the GT is also the lightest "sport compact" on the market right now.

I beat a Contour SVT today, and i had 3 ppl in the car including me WOOHOo... im so happy.... he was catching up to me... but he cldnt handle the s curve on the road we were hitting about 85 on today.... i was so happy... i slid ever so slightly... but he either got scared and braked.... or he just cld handle the turn ... it was cool ... on a straight road i wlda been dead though hehehe

I've beaten so far mainly Civic SIs, a current gen Accord, 98 Prelude (auto), Mitsu Galant, and 96 Honda Prelude (VTEC) model. I have a video against the Honda Prelude if I can get a webserver. Very funny.

Come on! Gt isnt THAT slow...isnt THAT fast either but adequet. It has enough power to get you on the highway safely.

I think it is worth it on any car that doesn't have any low end. Thats where it mainly adds power. I've got the S-AFC now, so theres no need for the V-Force. I doubt I can touch a modded GT-S, Its just that the guy I raced tenses up everytime and misses 2nd which gives me a chance to win. lol

Civic Si heavily modded but i don't think it was tuned, many other Si's EX and on. Accords 4cyl, Integra LS modded, GS GS-R modded, prelude Sportshift, prelude SH, Maxima, Legend, GT-S (auto) and many others.

I've lost to a 95 hatchback civic and come to find out he had type-r engine in it. Lost to 91 cr-x with GS-R block in it, lost to mitsu eclipse GS-X, mustang GT, and more.

I agree with JOTAN, it comes down to drivers. I thought GT had almost same spec as Integ LS/GS off the factory and GT are much faster and efficient than Integs.

Sorry to rain on some of your parades, buy some of you guys arent really answering his question right. I think he wanted to know what cars a celica gt can beat given equal mods(or stock vs. stock) and equal drivers... otherwise, the gt can beat anything on the road. It can beat a porsche 911 turbo if the guy doesnt know how to drive stick(or if you have a ton of mods). The point is, some of you have beaten a GT-S 6speed, or a integra gs-r or an eclipse gs-t, but no way in hell is your car as fast as or faster than those cars stock vs stock with equal drivers. Just wanted to point that out. :D

I say Celica GT and Integra LS/GS is about equal. They come almost identical off the factory and I say with about same amount of mods, Celica GT has bit of an edge due to GT being lighter than Integra.
