painting interior help!!!

ok now look im tryeng to paint my interior. and i wanna paint the
air fans in side. but i need to know ho to remove them can any one tell me how to. pleaz help its a 2000 celica GTS!!!!

The easiest way to do it is to take a flat head screwdriver or a knife, and pop the sides of the fins off. There are 4 nubs (2 on each side) holding the fins in. Careful though, the 2 fins are connected by a movable plastic arm in the back, and it's very fragile. However you have to put in a lot of force to take the fins out and place them back in. This is not an easy task.

Another option would be to take the entire dash out of the car and remove the vents from behind.
