how concerned should i be that i left the front rotor assemblies dangling (after removing the strut/spring) for the past week in my friends garage cuz we got lazy and watched desperate housewives and he then went on vacation. i've heard after the fact, of course that you should support it with a strap or SOMETHING as opposed to 9.8 meters/sec^2.....

also, while i'm here, do i need to apply some adhesive to the nut at the top of the strut assembly???

Having your front rotor dangle for a week won't hurt anything. You idealy should support it but i think as long as you set it down relativly softly, and not just let it fall.

You can apply some loctight to the top strut if you own it nut - but if you tighten it to spec it won't come off.
