POP mode is useless.

I have yet to come upon a cop with a Bee III. There are also many legal issues with POP.

The "POP mode" on the Bel and Escort have to first be activated by the user. Apparently the POP detection is fundamentally flawed in those detectors because they have a hard time distinguishing true POP threats from normal false alarms. Also, these detectors only cover Ka band, as they are specific "countermeasures" to the MPH Bee III. MPH makes another gun with POP mode that transmits on either Ka or K band.

The V1 now has both band coverage for POP.

Is it worth upgrading? Like I said, if POP was so popular, other radar gun manufacturers would jump on it as they did with instant-on. The fact is, POP cannot legally stand up in court as there is no tracking history. Once the officer switches from POP to instant-on in order to track the vehicle, the driver will know.

The POP "feature" is purely bait and switch on MPH Industries' part.
