i have a few questions about reverse:
what kind of gearing do we have in reverse?
does lift engage in reverse?
how bad would it be for your car to go full throttle in reverse? (assuming, of course, that you don't smash into something :D )
what's top speed for us going backwards? (assuming your not coasting downhill...or ripping the e-brake at 120 mph :chuckles: )

In a manual 7th gen, 1st is 3.166:1 and reverse is 3.250:1. So, acceleration/top speed/etc should be similar.
As for you other questions, I don't know.

:fawk: Uh, no. It doesn't. I believe that aspect would be regulated in the ECU.

yes, the gearing makes sense. and i know lift is controled by the ecu, but i'm asking about the specifics. i wouldn't think that lift would engage, but toyota does some strange things, so you never know ;)

But as a liability thing, I would think that Toyota would not allow lift in Reverse, the same way they disallow it while the engine is not warm.
But if someone could find a way to do that, it would be hillarious.
